You know your frands are coming up in the world when they now boast their very own studio/warehouse space. The Romantik Studio is located in Carlsbad, CA and is co-owned by Rachael at Siren Floral Co and Kasia at Plenty of Petals. I'm not even ashamed to admit they got this place in order faster than it takes me to do a week's worth of laundry (many thank you's to Nathan and Garrett for their countless hours too). They had an opening party/fundraiser for The Hendrix's - who are going through a heartbreaking fight with a rare form of cancer. All donations went straight to the family.

The most delicious tapas and libations were courtesy of A Miho Experience and beautiful glassware always from Hostess Haven. Here are a few photos from their opening event. Rico over at Amigo Booth brought the party vibes for sure - and I mixed some of their stellar shots in for good measure.

Rachael always celebrates her birthday in epic style and this year was no different. She managed to coordinate a 12 frand meet-up near Santa Cruz in a part of California called the Slow Coast (which is basically the town of Davenport, CA). She also set us up on the most gorgeous property...you know, just your normal, run-of-the-mill 22 acre privately owned coastal redwood retreat with a gigantic main lodge and a nearby cabin with a creek winding through it. SUPER casual. And the owners (Dana and Wallace) are rad as can be.

It was three days of max chilling - the best food and 'homemade' rosé provided by Parker (who is a world class chef dude extraordinaire), killer foraged florals by Kasia, and some general tablescapery schemed up by yours truly. An extra special thanks to my girlfriend Tiff at BALM for providing the much loved max chilling tshirts for the ladies.

Three days of winter rain, nature, and unconditional love. Could not have wished for anything better.

To Rachael, Nathan, Jess, Kasia, Whitney, Lauren, Chris, Tessa, Parker, Jaqui, and Ben - same time next year??
